14 months....

Kinsley's first snow....

Christmas 2010!

The festivities began with Lynze driving in Thursday afternoon. We played, ate dinner, and waited for the fun to begin. Mom and Lyn came Friday morning. We went to the children's carols and lesson service at church at 2. Kinsley did an awesome job! It was her nap time, so I was worried. She ate cheetos and played with Lyn's glasses. What a sweetie!

This is Kinsley and I before church.

We came home and Kins took a quick nap, completed costume change, and headed outside to play with Aunt Lynze.

Christmas breakfast
After breakfast we hopped in the car and drove to Salisbury to eat lunch with the Creswell family.

After the Creswell clan cleared out, we drove to Grandma and Grandpa Brooks' house to continue the celebration.

Just look at this face! Christmas has a whole new meaning to Corey and I now. She had an amazing day with so many people who love her and were so generous. Thank you to all of you who made Kinsley's Christmas this year.
I am so in love....

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a great relaxing Thanksgiving weekend this year. Corey and I started our mini vacation running the Wrightsville Beach Turkey trot Thanksgiving morning. It was a beautiful morning to run and I enjoyed the company. Corey and I have never run together so that was a fun change for me. Grandma and Grandaddy Brooks came for the weekend and Uncle Chris joined us for the day. We enjoyed nice dinners, lunches, walking along the river, movies, the flotilla market at Wrightsville Beach park, and brunch together.

Hanging out with the family, playing.

She loves dogs!

Especially pink ones!

Hampstead Turkey Trot-8K

We did it! A year ago I never would have thought I would run an 8K! But, we did it. Lindsay and I were cheered on by our hubbies and my sweet baby at the finish line. What an accomplishment for us! Way to go Lindsay, I am so proud of you!!

What she's up to!

So little miss is growing leaps and bounds...ok so she is a bit on the tiny side, but that hasn't stopped her. At her one year appt she weighed in at a whopping 17 lbs! She is walking everywhere, well I should say running. She is quick boy, but she doesn't bend her knees so she is entertaining to watch. She is saying mamma, dada, Mimi, Scotch, uh-oh, bye bye, duck, book, and repeating syllables after you say just about anything. She barks, quacks, and moos. She waves bye-bye and is blowing kisses. She loves to give "big" hugs and open mouth kisses. She along with her father is trying to bring the high five back and has been quite successful. She no longer uses a bottle and is completely on regular food. Wow, to think of what we were doing a year ago!

The Party of the Year!

Although the weather was cold and our baby was feeling under the weather, Kinsley's party still was a success. The only food of substance that she ate that week was her cake! Man was she attached to her Mimi. She didn't even want me to hold her. I felt bad for the guests that don't get to see Kinsley that often because she would not leave Mimi's hip. Thank you to all our family and friends who came near and far to celebrate the first year of Kinsley's life. We could not have asked for a better year!
