Rice cereal!
Little Miss went to her 4 month check up with Dr. Jackson and he said it was time to start eating rice cereal. Corey is having a hard time with this whole idea. He doesn't want his little girl growing up so fast and already eating, "food". I, on the other hand, am excited because I am hoping this helps drop the 3:30 feeding that Kinsley has some how worked into our schedule lately. These pictures just make me smile! Look at her, can you see how much fun we have with her every night?

4 Months!
Parents have always told me that time flies, but I never knew exactly what they meant. This month has been full of firsts for Kinsley and mom and dad. Our little baby is growing like a weed and changing every day.
This picture was taken the morning of Kinsley's 4 month checkout. She looks less than thrilled to be going to get those shots again. She weighed in at 12 lbs 9 oz and is 25 inches long. Daddy took Kinsley to the doctor because I had to work. He said he hated the shot part. I think he may have even shed a tear while they were there! He loves that baby so much!
Dad loves caring Kinsley around in the baby b'journ. I think it all may have been inspired by "The Hangover!" Hilarious!

This month Kinsley has found her smile. She looks at herself in the mirror and smiles now. It is just adorable.

She is grapping and pulling on toys now too

On Kinsley's 4 month birthday dad put together her exersaucer. It was a bit over whelming for her. She sat there and starred at all the colors. We hit all the buttons and made all the flashing lights go off.

She caught on quickly!

Dad and I cherish the couple hours we get every night after work. We have started taking walks now that the weather is getting nice or we just play on the floor and soak up every smile.

Back to work!
After going on bedrest at 36 weeks on October 22, the day arrived. Four wonderful months at home had to come to an end. I loved every early morning and didn't mind the nightly awakenings. Kinsley and I spent our days playing, walking, facebooking, eating, and changing diapers.I am embarrased to admit that I started watching All My Children again. I will cherish these memories for the rest of my life. I cried for days before thinking that I just would not be able to leave her. I dreaded that Friday morning more than I ever imagined. On Feb 19th I returned to work. Corey is the most amazing dad and gets his little girl ready for her day. They spend about an hour together in the morning playing while Corey tries to get ready for work and get her ready for Mrs. Megan (Kinsley's babysitter.) So far it has been awesome. My collegeues are the most supportive and loving group of people I could imagine. I spend about 40 minutes locked in the records room pumping. It is not the most glamourous place, but it gets the job done. Mrs. Megan has been incredible. She does not mind me calling her 4 times a day, e-mailing her once an hour, and completing all my anal schedule paperwork. She tells me everyday what an awesome baby Kinsley is, of course she knocks on wood when she says it. I could never have gone back to work if I knew my baby was miserable all day. As you can see by the pictures she is her happy self with or without me. That smile is the best gift every afternoon. I love coming home and of course look forward to Fridays more than ever before!

Megan sent me these pictures about an hour into my first day. I knew then I was going to be ok and so was Little Miss!

Birthday fun!
Kinsley has been to two birthday parties the past two weekends. The first party was for her friend Cole who turned two. He loves trains so we went to his, "Two Two Train," party at the train museum downtown. She was a champ even though the party was right in the middle of nap time. By the end of the party she was sleeping in my arms.

This is Kinsley's friend Devon. They played together in the museum.

The second party was for her friend Izzy who had a Dora birthday party at the park. I can not wait to actually take Little Miss to the park and push her on the swings. This trip I just pushed her around in the stroller.
