Our first annual gingerbread house!

Since Kinsley LOVES candy, I figured she would enjoy this project. We turned on the Christmas music and went to town. Needless to say it was straight to the bath when we were finished.

Mustaches for kids

Thanks to Jeff, our neighbor, Corey grew this mustache all month. The only reason Kinsley and I agreed to this was to help out the local children's charities. This was moments before it was shaved away!

30 weeks

This week I went to both the specialist and my regular doctor. My blood pressure was perfect, and they even ended my visits to the specialist! So 10 weeks and counting....

Enchanted Airlie

More lights for Kins....
Airlie was lit up beautifully. I highly recommend this experience if your child is into lights like Kinsley is! She had a ball running around with Cam and Rylie, looking at the lights EVERYWHERE, and seeing Santa (well kinda, she would not sit on his lap!)

Christmas Parade Downtown

Kinsley's new favorite thing these days is Christmas lights! So when Megan said the parade was at night and everything is covered in lights, we knew we couldn't miss it! We met the Oates family and Lucy Goosey down there. It was actually really good. After the disappointment of only 4 boats in the flotilla I really didn't have high expectations, but it was a pleasant surprise. Kinsley loved the lights, dogs, dancers, snowmen, train, and of course Santa at the end.

Flotilla

One of Grandma Brooks' favorite things to do when she comes to visit is participate in the flotilla festivities at Wrightsville Beach. We went Saturday morning to the park and did a bit of sight seeing and shopping. We even got to ride the train. Kinsley loved that! Saturday night we drove down to the beach to see all the boats decked out in lights. There weren't as many as in the past, but Kinsley still enjoyed seeing the lights and of course the boat with Spongebob!

Happy Turkey Day!

26 weeks

This was a morning before church. I am feeling good and enjoying the pregnancy. The only problem I am having is pain in my feet. By the end of the day, they are killing me. My blood pressure has actually been pretty good so far, so hopefully we are on our way to 40 weeks with no bed rest!

My little artist

These days Kinsley loves to color, paint, draw, and write. This is the perfect gift for her. So far she has done very good with it in her room. She is keeping the crayons on the paper and not drawing on anything she should not....knock on wood! I find her often playing with her, "abcs." That is what she calls the magnetic numbers and letters. Thanks Mimi and papa for her awesome b-day gift!

Big girl bed!

Kinsley and I worked all day turning her nursery into a little girl's room.

She loves to help her daddy, just like I use to.

This was right when we put her in her new bed and gave her her blessings. She woke up at 11:30 looking for lovey, and then slept until 6:30. What a sweet big girl!

Snuggle buddies

If you ask Kinsley who her best friend is she will respond, "Mimi." I am sorry, but I think her daddy might be the the true answer. They are snuggle buddies in the morning before we head to work. You can imagine that leaving this in my family room in the morning is pretty rough. Then when dad gets home from work, it becomes play time. The two of them can literally play from the minute Corey walks in the door until I have to tell them to settle down for night night time. She dresses him up, makes him chase her with her duck, play outside for hours, says, 'sit right here," and makes him play with all her toys on the floor. Corey is such an awesome dad and Kinsley's love for him, proves it!

Pumpkin head...

I don't know why but I have called Kinsley Pumpkin Head since she was born. Maybe since she was a November baby. Well, last night she was the cutest pumpkin ever. Her costume was adorable, and of course so was she. She started eating candy before dad even got home from work. We were practicing saying, "trick or treat," and "thank you!" When dad got home we went to Mrs. Megan's to trick or treat and show her Kins' costume then we headed with the Barnwells to the trunk or treat with the rest of Wilmington. Kinsley ran around looking at all the children dressed up and enjoyed all the candy (a lot!)

Kinsley's 2nd birthday party!

Kinsley had the most perfect birthday party at Jungle Rapids this weekend. Her grandparents, sweet little friends, and their parents joined us. When I woke up Saturday morning and it was nasty and cold outside, I knew I made the right decision!!! Kinsley played, ran, jumped, and laughed so hard. We indulged in pizza and a cupcake cake (at Kinsley's request.) It was such a fun day. Thank you for all of you who joined us on her special day!

Clear the road...

Grandma and Granddaddy got Kinsley a new ride for her birthday! She loved it! Look at that smile!

Panther Game

Corey and I headed to Lake Norman for a weekend of baby celebrating (without our baby, thanks to Mimi.) Lauren and Aubrey had a beautiful baby shower in Davidson and then we drove to Charlotte to meet baby Gray. What a blessing those bundles of joy are!
While we were in town, we of course had to hit up a Panther game! We had a great time tailgating with the Deatons and Preys!
