Here comes Peter Cottontail....

Kinsley and I sang this song a lot this month! We had a wonderful Easter with the Davises again this year. The kids dyed two dozen eggs and enjoyed the hunt Easter morning. Kinsley liked to smash them together but quickly learned what she should be doing by watching Cooper, the professional egg hunter! She loved everything the bunny brought her and even loved the silly bands that the bunny brought Cooper. Thankful he shares well! We went to church and then lunch at the local farm house. The kids went home and the hubbies went to the pier to fish. Overall the holiday was fun and the weekend was relaxing and memorable!

Cooper and Kins at the park

Corey and I watched Cooper while Brian and Lindsey had a night out. We had such a great time with the two of them. We took them on a long walk and tired them out for a long nap! Then we took the duo to the park where they played so well together! After the park we took them to dinner. They were extremely well behaved and we found out that Kinsley loves ketchup...she will even drink it!

Baby

Kinsley blew me away the other afternoon when she came out of her room with her baby and a diaper and said, "on." I helped her but her baby's diaper on and then she disappeared back to her room. She then returned with her baby with a pair of pajamas hanging off of her. She said, "night, night" and took her lovey and the baby to her crib. I put them all in the crib and she said, "night, night, love you." It was adorable! She then wanted "out," and she proceeded to dig through her drawers and find a pair of socks for baby. She said, "socks on." So I helped her put the socks on her baby.

The whole episode lasted about 10 minutes. I was in total awe that she was putting all this together. She is growing so fast and using new words everyday. It is so fun!

The Princess' new toy...

Her daddy bought her a castle....he is wrapped!

Grandma came to visit...

Grandma Brooks came to visit us a couple weekends ago. We had a great visit filled with great food, a trip to the beach, a trip downtown to the Azalea festival, and playing around the house.

Riveria Maya, Mexico

Corey took me to Mexico to celebrate my big 3-0! We were able to spend an incredible week with two of our favorite people, the Deatons. We ate, drank, tanned (burned), napped, and then ate and drank again. It was a relaxing and funfilled week that I will never forget. Thank you, Corey for my awesome gift!

Thank you too to Lindsey! She took care of our sweet baby while we were gone. We missed Kins SOOOO much, but I knew she was in good hands. Here are a couple pics of the cousins playing together. They are such good buds!

17 months!

Kinsley loves to come around the corner and yell, "boo!"
She is my good little eater. She loves dinner time as a family. We try to have dinner together every night. She now says ,"eat," and says, "amen," after we say our dinner prayer. It is so sweet!

My cutie!

Wow this month flew by! Kinsley is growing, learning, and changing every day! She is extremely independent, but loves for you to play with her, especially when I am trying to make dinner.

She is saying so many new words. Her language is hard for outsiders to understand, but I am amazed daily at what she picks up on and repeats with out any encouragement.

She has started to put two words together. Tonight she asked Corey for, "more cracker." She has started saying butt and poop. She pulls at her diaper when she says these. Kins yells, out when she wants to go outside (where she would live if I would allow it.) This morning I heard her saying,"eyes." She was pointing at her babydoll's eyes. She will also say nose and ears as well on her own.

Little miss is basically repeating most words we tell her to say. It is amazing how fast she catches on. I have taught her to count to 3 and she can plug in several letters in the alphabet song when I pause at letters. She works every night with daddy in the tub on words and he quizzes her. It is adorable.

She is running all over the house. Her favorite toys are balls. Tonight she had six balls in her stroller and she pushed it all the way into her room. She is climbing on the furniture and tries to

push the bar stools all over the kitchen. She loves to help me do the laundry. She listens well to directions and will put her clothes in the dirty clothes and will take dirty clothes to the laundry room. She is learning to put her shoes on and has mastered taking them off. She takes her clothes off and even her diaper sometimes. Last week she took her diaper off during nap and pooped in her bed. She didn't want to have a mess, ya know!

Kinsley is giving high fives with out being asked and loves to dance. She claps her hands and shakes her booty. She is adorable! Everyday there is something new, it is amazing.

Papa and Nanny came to visit

Papa and Nanny stopped by for a visit last weekend. Kinsley had a ball with Papa in the backyard and showing off all of her tricks. Hopefully she will love to work in the yard like her Papa, because I don't!

Our first trip to the beach in 2011!

This summer at the beach is going to be very different then last summer! Kinsley loves this sand, but she isn't eating it at least! We took a walk along the beach and she helped a little girl make a sand castle. She was in awe of the whole experience. Of course, very much like her mother, she wanted her hands wiped because the sand was irritating her. She is going to be a blast this summer! We can't wait!

Smile!

This is Kinsley's new "cheese" face. Corey has taught her to make this adorable face. He is so wrapped by his little girl, but wouldn't you be with this face!?
